LearnWise Shortlisted for the Bett Awards 2027 in AI in Education: Workload Reduction

We're thrilled to share that LearnWise has been shortlisted for the Bett Awards 2027 in the AI in Education: Workload Reduction category. The Bett Awards, run in association with BESA, are one of the most recognized honors in education technology. This year, we're proud to be among the shortlisted submissions for our solution suite across AI Campus Support, AI Student Tutor, AI Ops Assistant, and AI Feedback & Grader. It's recognition of something we've believed from day one: AI earns its place on campus when it gives people their time back, not when it adds one more tool to manage.
Ask anyone working in a university or college where their week goes, and you'll hear the same story. The tuition question answered for the tenth time. Feedback started from a blank page late at night. Deadline extensions clicked through course by course, section by section. None of it needs expert judgment, and all of it pulls time away from teaching, course design and the students who need a person.
That's where AI Campus Support comes in. It takes the routine admin and IT questions, from enrollment to timetables, around the clock and in over 100 languages, on the institution's website, inside the VLE and on staff intranets like SharePoint. When a question needs a human, it hands the student to the right team. At NPTC Group of Colleges in Wales, it runs as a bilingual English and Welsh assistant across the website, SharePoint and Moodle, taking routine queries off marketing and HR teams.
For students, AI Student Tutor is a study partner inside the VLE that knows their courses, turning course material into quizzes, flashcards and study plans. Across the 56 institutions in our 2026 research cohort, more than half of Tutor conversations (52%) happened outside standard business hours: questions that would otherwise have sat in a faculty inbox overnight. For instructors, AI Feedback & Grader drafts rubric-aligned feedback inside the marking workflow they already use, so feedback no longer starts from a blank page. Faculty review and finalize every draft, and across the same cohort, that reclaimed an estimated 1,160 hours of writing time.
Then we have AI Ops Assistant, our newest solution, introduced this June and already a QS Reimagine Education finalist this year. It turns the heaviest course administration into one plain-language instruction inside the LMS. A full catalog rollover across 200-plus course shells, traditionally the busiest week of the term, becomes a single reviewed operation finished in a day instead of five. A course quality audit that used to take half a day now takes around 30 minutes. Extending 200 due dates, enrolling an instructor across a dozen sections, applying an accommodation to every upcoming quiz: one message each. At one institution, a program management team saved an estimated 278 hours across 343 conversations in roughly ten weeks.
Across all four solutions, one commonality remains: no action is taken without human approval. Every change AI Ops Assistant proposes is shown in full before anything runs, every piece of feedback is reviewed by the instructor, and every question that needs a human reaches one. Workload reduction only works if staff can trust what AI hands back to them, so human approval is built into how LearnWise works, not added afterwards.
So what happens next? The winners will be announced on 20 January at the Bett Awards 2027 ceremony at the InterContinental London, The O2, during Bett UK. Running 20 to 22 January at ExCeL London, Bett UK brings together more than 37,000 attendees, including over 14,000 education decision-makers, with 700+ edtech exhibitors from over 130 countries and 400+ speakers across seven stages. We can't wait to join the conversation with institutions and peers from around the world.
The Bett shortlisting caps a big year of recognition for the team. Last year we won Bronze at the QS Reimagine Education Awards for our solution suite, and this year AI Ops Assistant is a QS Reimagine finalist, with winners announced in London this December.
A huge congratulations to every company shortlisted alongside us. Being in this group means sitting next to some of the most thoughtful work in education technology, and we're honored to be part of it. See you in London!
