ICDLE 2026 International Conference on Distance Learning and Education

ICDLE 2026 is the 17th International Conference on Distance Learning and Education, held in Barcelona, Spain from 16 to 18 September 2026 at the Mundet Campus, University of Barcelona. Its 2026 theme is "Empowering Future Learning: AI, Data and Sustainable Innovations in Distance Education."

Beyond Student-Facing AI: How IE University Built an Agentic Workflow Layer for Faculty and Programme Teams

Sara Kells (Director of Operations and Program Management, Digital Learning, IE University) and Greg Marschall show how IE extended AI beyond students to support the teams running its corporate programs. Agentic workflows now assist with operational load such as course setup, enrollment progressions, and reporting, with staff reviewing and approving what the system proposes.
